The Public Art Pollinator Pasture, Brent's Grist Mill Heritage Park, at the corner of Dilworth and Leckie Road, Kelowna
Volunteer to help prep and weed the Pollinator Pasture and get expert advice about meadow-building and stewardship of natural places in the Okanagan!
This is a major planting with NATIVE PLANTS donated by SeedsCo Community Conservation, EcoAction, Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program, Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship, Habitat Conservation Trust Fund, and Environment and Climate Change Canada!
A great opportunity to learn about planting native plants in the Okanagan and to have some fun with your community. Spring is here and we can’t wait to get out to the pasture and start digging around in the dirt!
We will be planting large gallon pots of plants, laying plastic down and building a path. If you can, please bring large containers of water for watering plants, spades, gloves, hats, weeding tools, hammers and good digging boots. If you have a wheelbarrow and are able to bring it, that would be great.
Bring your kids, family and friends. Come for an hour or stay all morning!
We provide lunch so please RSVP!
The gate will be open and there will be parking on site or you are welcome to park on Leckie.
