Join local fruit‑tree enthusiast Tim Fryatt for a hands‑on workshop on the art and wizardry of grafting. Discover how to clone your favourite varieties\, add new cultivars to existing trees\, boost pollination\, repair damage on trunks made by rabbits\, voles or cankers \, and even create beautiful multi‑graft or espaliered trees. You’ll learn essential techniques including whip & tongue and cleft grafting and watch demonstrations on grafting onto established trees. By the end of this workshop\, you’ll have the confidence to start experimenting with grafting all on your own! DESCRIPTION:The Victoria Horticultural Society will meet on May 5\, 2026 (7:00 – 9:00 pm) at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre (3277 Douglas St). Our speaker is Barry Agar\, who will talk about Japanese Gardens\, how they developed\, and how they influence modern gardens.  Barryhas recently retired as Head Gardener at Hatley Park at Royal Roads University\, which has an early Canadian Japanese Garden.
