The Victoria Horticultural Society Special Presentation: Boss Mosses of the Pacific Northwest

The Victoria Horticultural Society will meet on Oct 3, 2023, from 6:30 - 9:00 pm. at the Garth Homer Centre (813 Darwin Ave).   Eileen Bancroft will lead a workshop at 6:30 pm on how to band trees to protect them from Winter moths.  Our main speaker at 8:00 pm is Kem Luther,  a naturalist and writer (Boundary Layer and Mushrooms of BC)  His topic is “Boss Mosses of the Pacific Northwest,”  focusing on moss landscapes in southern Vancouver Island, their role in our ecosystem, and moss gardening.
