The Peachland Wellness Center Community Gardens provide a vibrant space for sustainable gardening, community connection, and intergenerational learning. With multiple garden locations, this project is a cornerstone for ecological, social, and nutritional benefits in the Peachland community.
Garden Locations
The Peachland Wellness Center (PWC) Community Gardens currently includes five locations:
- Peachland Wellness Center (4475 4th Street)
- Food Bank Garden (4475 4th Street)
- St. Margaret’s Church Garden (4464 4th Street)
- Our Space Garden (5684 Beach Avenue)
- Peachland Elementary School Garden (5486 Clements Crescent)
Each site serves a unique purpose in the community, from supporting food security to engaging youth and seniors in hands-on gardening education.
Okanagan Master Gardeners’ Role
A Master Gardener serves as the Volunteer Garden Facilitator, working alongside PWC to educate and empower the community through sustainable gardening practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching sustainable gardening techniques.
- Leading an intergenerational gardening program that brings together gardeners of all ages.
- Providing guidance to participants at all garden locations.
- Supporting the community in growing, nurturing, and harvesting their own food.
Impact of the Gardens
The PWC Community Gardens offer ecological, social, nutritional, and economic benefits:

Yearly donations to the Peachland Wellness Center are welcomed and used to support PWC programs, including the Community Gardens.
