Annual Event
First Saturday of March
Across the nation, Seedy Saturday events are organized with the fundamental belief that seeds are essential resources that should be accessible to everyone interested in gardening.
The Prince George Seedy Saturday focuses on providing education about seeds and environmentally responsible gardening practices.

We encourage the use of open-pollinated and heritage seeds, host a local seed exchange, and provide talks on a variety of gardening topics each year. There are ‘well loved’ gardening books and tools available as well. Other community environmental groups are invited to attend with educational displays.
Gardeners are life-long learners and there are lectures planned during the Seedy Saturday to cater to every type of gardener.
PG Master Gardeners host various local different organizations and vendors at these events. We are truly grateful for their continued partnership and are excited to curate a fine selection of vendors year on year.

“The single greatest lesson the garden teaches is that our relationship to the planet need not be zero-sum and that as long as the sun still shines and people still can plan and plant, think and do, we can, if we bother to try, find ways to provide for ourselves without diminishing the world.”
Michael Pollan
